Olympus 260964 MMF-2 MFT Lens Adapter Reviews
14 of 14 people found the following review helpful The only adapter for the Olympus PEN camera, January 29, 2011 By This review is from: Olympus 260964 MMF-2 MFT Lens Adapter (Electronics) I have the EP-2. The factory "kit" lens (14 - 42mm) is excellent. But, there are other choices out there. This adapter allows utilization of 4/3 lenses on the micro 4/3 camera.
Technically, the adapter allows mounting the larger diameter 4/3 lenses, and properly positions that lens at the correct distance from the micro 4/3 sensor.
This is an ultra high quality adapter. I have it. I use it. It is excellent. Made by Olympus for the Olympus PEN cameras.
Take a chance with a cheaper adapter(?). No thanks. By the time you realize the cheaper adapter is all that you paid for it, that picture is gone forever.
By the way, the 14 - 54mm Zuiko II on the EP-2 produces fantastic photos. Fast autofocus, excellent in low-light, outdoors, indoors, wherever. I would like to see a combination price with the adapter and this lens.
10 of 10 people found the following review helpful A great addition to the photographer with 4/3rds and micro 4/3ds lenses, January 13, 2011 By Blueridge_Sage (Central Virginia) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Olympus 260964 MMF-2 MFT Lens Adapter (Electronics) I bought my Olympus E-PL1 over the holidays because it offered some advanced features, but was easy enough for the technophobes in my family to use. I already owned an earlier model Olympus SLR with a couple lenses and wanted to be able to have the convenience of the new camera without dropping more on additional lenses immediately. I found the MMF-2 and was fascinated by the idea and flexibility. I am very pleased to say that it works perfectly. The adapter works on the principle that the distance between the rear of the lens and the sensor is the same as it is with an SLR due to the difference in body sizes. I am extremely pleased with the adapter and regularly carry it with my 40-150 lens for wildlife photography and as an added bonus the older lens handles a polarizing filter much better than the micro four-thirds kit lens.

So far I've tested this item with an EP-3 body and the 12-60mm, 35-100mm, 70-300mm, and 35mm(macro). All worked great; however, the 35-100mm and 35mm was a little slower to focus than the others.
If you already have a set of Four Thirds bodies and lenses then just get this. Don't bother with the new Micro Four Thirds lenses unless you really have to have them. I would invest in the micro primes if that were the case.
