If you already have high quality M lenses you might consider getting this adapter for your 4/3's camera. It is clearly expensive, but its good quality gives some comfort that your M lenses will not be damaged. Those great lenses are back in play. The combination of the digital camera and top notch lenses improves the overall experience. I am no expert, but some experimentation - aided by instant digitally driven feedback - seems to be required to optimize picture quality.

Leica makes the world's best lenses -- that's no secret! That you can take any micro four thirds camera and turn it into a Leica M digital body is less well known. There are dozens of cheap adapters available to do this. I went for this Panasonic Lumix adapter expecting it to be a quality piece -- it doesn't disappoint. It doesn't hurt that Panasonic has partnered with Leica over last several years and builds Leica branded lenses and cameras.
I tried this adapter with a Lumix GF3 body and a couple of Summicrons and a couple of Summiluxes. The fit is tight and the feel is factory perfect. The experience of framing and manually setting aperture/focus on the GF3 is simple and rewarding -- much better than an actual Leica M body in my opinion.
If you have Leica glass,you owe it to yourself to try this out. You won't regret it.
